Helikon UTP PoliCotton RipStop trousers
The UTP trousers (Urban Tactical Pants) were created as a "mid profile" design, i.e. looking less uniform than BDU, ACU or M-65 trousers, but offering increased functionality in relation to purely civilian clothing. Thanks to the use of spandex-blend material, the trousers are very comfortable to wear and ensure freedom of movement.
The UTP trousers feature many interesting and very functional solutions:
- the trousers have as many as 12 pockets
- four pockets on the thighs, two large with a YKK (reverse) zip, and two smaller on the front of the thighs closed with a Velcro flap are used for carrying e.g. mobile phones, magazines, etc
- on the inside of the trousers, there are two sewn-in slanted symmetrical pockets for discreet and convenient carrying of items such as telescopic batons or spare pistol magazines
- two capacious pockets on the back, inside the back pockets there are two smaller pockets for, for example, a small torch or a multitool
- front pockets have reinforced edges for clips for folding knives and tools
- the trousers are fastened with a YKK metal zipper - instead of a button on the waist, a velcro strip has been used, similarly to the Crye Precision patterns, which provides a certain range of adjustment
- the trousers' fit is ensured by an elastic band sewn into the back of the trousers
- reinforcements on the knees made of two layers of material, between the layers of material there is a pocket allowing to place knee pads in it
- the front of the seven wide belt loops have additional loops allowing the attachment of a rifler or paracord loop to secure items carried in the pockets
